Queen Elizabeth National Park was formed officially, along with Murchison falls National Park  in 1952 . Those are 70 years back.
The park was initially known as kazinga National Park. Before it was renamed to Queen Elizabeth National Park in 1954. Those are like 68 years back. That was in the name of commemorating the visit by Queen Elizabeth II of great Britain.
It has the highest number of animals to see on a safari. That is to say. It’s a home of over 95 mammal species and over 605 bird species and it’s made up of landscapes, savannah plains, bush land, wet lands and the lush forest.
QENP is 1978 square kilometres (764 in sq mi)  of which about
17% lies in kasese district
50% in bushenyi district
33%Â lies in Rukungiri District
 The area of the park extends from lake George in the northesat  to  lake Edward in the southwest  and includes the kazinga channel that connects the two lakes. In this area we find animals like  hippos, elephants , lion, hyenas, kobs and the  chimpanzee troop  in the  kyambura Gorge forest.
Else where, the remote Ishasha sector is famed for it’s tree-climbing lions, Maramagambo forest is home to an alluring selection of forest monkeys and birds and flocks of flamigo are residents on th ecreater lakes
The park is also famous for it’s volcanic features, comprising volconic cones  and deep craters, many with creater lakes such as lake katwe from wchich solt is extracted.
The park also includes kigezi game reserve, kyambura game reserve, kibale national park in uganda  and virunga national park in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
