Founded in October 1998, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary is dedicated to the welfare of orphaned chimpanzees rescued from poachers by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, offering them a chance at survival against the odds.
Located within a rainforest, the sanctuary occupies an expansive 100 acres and is conveniently reachable with a short 23km boat ride from Entebbe, near the Equator in Lake Victoria, Uganda. The Ngamba Island experience includes morning sessions starting at 9:00 am and afternoon sessions at 12:00 pm, providing visitors with a unique and enriching encounter with the sanctuary's inhabitants.

Day 1
ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE
Our company's guide will provide you with details about the itinerary before transferring you to the boat for Ngamba Island.

For those opting for the morning session, the journey begins at 9:00 am, while the afternoon session sets off at 12:00 pm for the 1 Day Trip Ngamba Island experience.
Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary boasts a rich diversity of natural wildlife and ecological plant species, providing a variety of natural foods for the chimpanzees. Day 2
NGAMBA ISLAND
Following breakfast at your hotel, our company guide will escort you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for a thrilling chimpanzee trekking adventure. Enjoy an incredible equator experience and indulge in lunch on the way before arriving at your destination in the late evening. Your overnight stay at Gorilla Safari Lodge promises a delightful experience with breathtaking lake views, complemented by a satisfying dinner.
Day 3
Time : 5:00 am
TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Early breakfast. Our guide will transfer you to the information center. Get briefed about gorilla tracking in Bwindi Forest. After the briefing, the local guides and rangers will take you on a thrilling hike through the impenetrable forest in search of the mountain gorillas. After the gorilla trek, have lunch and relax for later activity. Later take an evening walk to Bigodi swamp, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast pack up and transfer to Entebbe as you get ready for your flight departure.
