It’s a home to 52 orphaned and rescued chimpanzees, it’s under the care of the “Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust’’.this NGO is deeply committed and involved in both field conversations and community education.

Day 1
DAY CHIMPANZEE EXPERIENCE AT NGAMBA ISLANDYour Plan
We shall take a 45min boat cruise from Entebbe out on Lake Victoria to Ngamba island chimpanzee sanctuary and have a chance to view chimpanzees feeding. You will also be treated to sights of monitor lizards, birds and photographic opportunities.
Upon arrival at the sanctuary, you will be directed to the visitor’s center where you will be introduced to the project. You will receive a personal orientation by the caregiver and view the feeding of the chimpanzee.
You will have chance to be part of the feeding team, this will grant you an opportunity to watch chimps get excited and trying to gain your attention to receive food [this is subject to management exclusion and policies],remember you are only allowed to spend maximum of two hours at the sanctuary.
You may as well make some donations to the facility in support of the smooth running of the activities there in. You will have lunch on site and head back, reach lake Victoria and relax at the beach as you enjoy the water and music for awhile , then proceed to Kampala. That will mark the end of your one day chimpanzee tour.
